Living Off ‘The Grid’ (.definition) To Live Your Life in a Self-Suficient manner beyond the influence of power lines, government coersion and corruption, corporate control, financial institution instability and insolvency, media false advertising, internet and cell phone scams, even beyond the influence of family… without fear, without debt, without anxiety… in a state of complete harmony and faith.

Yes, you will have to read this plan, and here’s why. We cannot just spoon feed you with videos for your entertainment. You have to be actively seeking a better life and engage your own brain in setting out a plan for that. Videos fill in time, but do not lead to action on your part or any change for the better.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The last shingle being nailed down and the roof was finished on the home Jane and I built from the trees and rocks on our own property. I carefully climbed down off the roof. We then walked up the laneway, turned around, looked at OUR HOME, held each other and just cried.

Tears of Joy and Happiness like no other time we can remember. Our own home. We were really doing it. It was a dream no more. We were Living Off ‘The Grid’.

In 1993 Jane and I purchased 20 acres of very rural wilderness property in Northern Canada determined to live a better life.

The agricultural area in which we had grown up and spent the first 30 years of our lives had become suburban, overcrowded and a noxious environment. We wanted to live our lives in peace and harmony with the earth.

Don’t read that to mean we were some out of touch dreamers headed to the wilderness determined to make it with a pocket knife and a roll of aluminum foil.

We had been developing our skills for this move for a long time.

This is our story and at no time in the history of this planet is such basic common sense in such desperate need. Two generations ready to start their journey into adult living have just discovered that they don’t really know the truth about anything.

What they have been sold by way of TV, Internet and Cell Phones as the good life in which to aspire has just been shown to be a sham. A giant advertising game designed to keep citizens exactly where they are with no chance to ever escape. And no real way to tell truth from fiction.

The truth about what is real is going to be slowly revealed to you, and in a way that you will not make the same mistakes of others, even benefiting from our own learning and mistakes.

We have been recording our journey of discovery into what is real in our lives from the beginning.

I remember clearly, sitting at the kitchen table of my parents where I had grown up eating every meal, and trying to explain that Jane and I and our 3 little kids ( ages, 1, 4, and 5) that we were moving. We were going to live self sufficiently. “What the hell does that mean?” my father asked.

I confidently explained we were going to make, grow or build all that we would need on our new adventure, moving to a rural wilderness property.

“You won’t make any money that way!” , my father snorted.

“We won’t need as much money if we produce most everything ourselves.”. I told him.

“We will make it. It’s the right move for us. We know it.”

With confidence and the right guide to help you we know you can do what we have done too. It took nearly 10 years for my father to admit it to us but even he admitted to us personally that he wished he had done the same thing as us.
